Mike has Day One of chemo. under his belt and all is well. There was a little bit of mix up regarding when he was scheduled to be admitted into the hospital but all of that was worked out yesterday. He checked into St. Mary's at about 1:00 in the afternoon and received his chemo. last night. He will receive chemo. every day for 3 hours per day for 6 full days. Melisa stayed at the hospital with Mike last night as they attempt to familiarize themselves with new and different surroundings. I think they slept as well as one could expect, considering they are not in the comforts of their own home. I just got off of the phone with them and Mom & Hope and Bret & Mei-Mei were there visiting. Although we were under the impression that he would undergo his consolidation treatment at Vanderbilt, being able to receive treatment close to home is wonderful!
Mike is in Room 6407 at St. Mary's and his direct line is 812-485-6421. I'll post this over on the right hand side of the blog so that it doesn't get shifted down too quickly.
Thanks again for all of the thoughts and prayers. Keep 'em coming!

Mikey,
I'm so glad you can continue your therapy here. It does make it easier for visitors, and heaven knows you have a village pulling for you. About that word HOPE, it is a powerful thing, you know we have an abundance of it on our side. Take care and I Love You Guys.
Barbara
